Love the knife. We ordered this because it matches our go to Chef knife. Was curious to see if the Santoku style would be a good addition and it was. It is a little smaller and definitely thinner and good for slicing rather than chopping. We had a generic block before so while this one is not the highest quality around, it is Henckels and holds these two knives as well as the few others that we own including our carving set, and Henckels kitchen shears. Excellent value, I paid this much for my chef knife alone a few years ago.
