I really like this bread knife. It is a large size and feels good in my hands. It is good for slicing a variety of breads. I espeically like the way it doesn't tear loaf breads like banana and zucchini. It is good for delicate quick breads like scones and it works easily on hard rolls. I am pleased with this purchase and I do recommend Henckels products.

I had my doubts when I paid only [price] for a Henckels knife that it would actually be a decent piece of cutlery. No need to worry! This is a great knife. It is sturdy, it keeps its edge, and it looks great with my other Henckels knives. This is by far the best bread knife I've ever used. I'm very pleased with the quality, and I'm glad I took a chance on ordering it.Customer Review: Soft steel is easily damaged

The sharp edge is so soft it was damaged by the first hard-crust bread I used it on. A small pressure by my fingernail easily deforms the edge. The edge is not so thin that I would expect this, base on other knives I own including those by Henckel (German made), Gerber, Victorinox, Cold steel, Chicago Cutlery, and even a very-thin-edged chinese vegetable knife.Customer Review: Cut through bread like warm taffy.

This thing is great. Used to I had to pitch a loaf or two because my butter knife's serrated edge just didn't cut it. Then I found this low cost alternative, and pow my bread is sliced up like a bowel full of jelly. Also, the O.J. Simpson case knife styling is not hard to tell. I often think of myself as O.J. as I slice my helpless bread loaf victims to shreds.Customer Review: Really nice bread knife

I purchased this bread knife along with the 3 piece gift set (twin Henckels). This slices through the bread with no effort. I would recommend it. I also love the 3 piece set. Better than any knives I've had. I've only had them for a week, so I don't know how often they'll need sharpening. I am being careful to use the recommended boards and hand washing them.
