I finally had to replace a food scale I'd bought years ago in Germany, where recipe measurements are given in grams, not cups/teaspoons. This Italian scale is a great replacement! The metric figures are easy to read, the bowl holds a large amount of flour & is a breeze to clean, and the weights seem accurate. The scale is rather bulky, and I wish the gram markings were in units of 10 instead of 20 (many of my recipes call for the smaller unit, e.g., 70g/110g sugar), but no matter. This scale--in my favorite color!--does the job. Buy this if, like me, you use a lot of German/Austrian recipes.
