You can stick your hand in a pot of boiling water and pull out an egg, if you want. This glove is great protection from burns. While I am pleased overall with this product, I do find its size a bit cumbersome. My husband definitely uses this more than I do as my hand tends to get "lost" within the mitt. But, it certainly does its job.Customer Review: keeps you cool

This glove keeps the hands cool as promised. I have used it to pick up pots and remove items from the oven and never felt the slightest heat. My only complaint is that it is somewhat stiff and hard to manuver.Customer Review: They're great

Unlike the conventional cloth oven mitts, I can actually grasp things with them. Got no complaints. Going over to silicone for pot holders too but I found some that are less expensive than the Orka brand.Customer Review: Baking tyro

The silicone glove is much more easy to handle than a potholder and doesn't slip out of my fingers while I am holding a hot cookie sheet or muffin pan. I wish somebody had come up with these years ago.
