I got this item to mainly deal with handling boiling and sub-boiling copper. It performs from 150 to 212 admirably with excellent protection. I get nothing but mild warmth when handling the copper for 20 seconds at a time. The ribbed gripping areas give excellent traction. The only criticisms I might have are the shortness of the glove and the excessive length of the thumb for a normal-sized man's hand. The glove's thumb tends to fold over with excess material when grasping. Considering the clearance price of this item though, the drawbacks are negligible.Customer Review: An Amazing Mitt

My wife and I received this oven mitt as a wedding gift. At first look and feel the rubbery mitt made me think, "No way we're using this, it'll will melt to my hands!" But it only takes a couple of uses to show how significant of an improvement this unconventional mitt is. I've scraped melted pizza cheese off the oven rack at 400 degrees with this mitt no problem! Boiling water, hot grease, melted cheese, whatever! Nothing can get to your hands in this mitt!!!!Makes a great, weird... er... uh... unconventional, wedding gift!

I bought a Orka mitt when I started to learn baking this summer. It was great !! The long sleeve protects me even when I need to stretch deep into the oven. You don't feel the heat, and it is easy to wash.
I love it so much so I bought another mitt and make them a pair. Now they are my best assistants for baking!
Well, I am a 5"10" adult man, thus those mitts fit my hands perfectly. This would be something for people have smaller hands to consider before purchase this product. But it work perfect for me that's true.

Wonderful product. You can reach into boiling water or grab an item off a grill with this and not feel a thing.
Buyer beware!!!!! I've seen these in stores all over and sold in sets of 2. I "assumed" that when the Friday sale on Amazon said amazing discount for $12, it meant that I was getting a set for half the cost. Nope, just one arrived. I went back and looked at my order and sure enough, it was for just 1. I must not have payed close attention. I'll be definitely buying another to make a set.
