I recently purchased a gas range and the burners cook too hot, who knew how hot 15000 blah, blah, blahs was going to be??? There is no internal adjusting ability in which to reduce the flame and things kept burning. The SimmerMat gives me some help now in my heat control and I don't hate my stove nearly as much.Customer Review: I depend on it.

Even at its lowest setting, the so-called simmer ring on my gas stove would always bring my meat sauce or pot roast to a slow boil. With the Simmer Mat, I have so much more control. I only wish I had known about it a long time ago!Customer Review: It really works!

This product works BUT it is not stable!!! Because it is both slick and bumpy, I found that the pot wants to slide around when I'm stirring the contents.
