Customer Review: Shoddy paint work

First and foremost, when we received the item, the box was in poor condition, and the top was torn open. After inspection, it was easy to see why this was possible, as when you take the item out and put it back in, it can tear at the box. This lead us to believe it was probably a returned item. As for the product itself, the torn packaging hadn't damaged it in any way, and the ceramic "grills" are as pictured and quite cute. I did notice one of the ceramic lids had a sharp edge, but I'm not sure if it could cut someone. I was able to overlook that, but what I was not able to overlook was the terrible paint job of of the grill accessories that decorate the outside of set. The tools and mitt look cute in the picture, but when presented with the actual product, they look like a child attempted to paint them. The "wheels" are painted as well, and a poor job was also done on those. As this was a gift for my mother-in-law and her husband, my husband and I were disappointed because the concept was so cute, and we knew it was a perfect gift. We decided not to return it and will give it to them anyway, but I am embarrassed to be giving something with such a low quality of workmanship. For the price, I would at least expect the paint job to be decent.
