Customer Review: I wish I would have found this machine years ago.

I was in a customers house last month and noticed her Hoover cleaner. When I asked her about it her response was very favorable. This lady has been a customer of mine for over twenty years and I trust her judgement. On her recommendation I came to Amazon and read all the reviews. I have learned that reading reviews here is very interesting. There can be a hundred good ones and yet their are always a few bad ones. I always throw out the worst reviews because I have found there are people that just live to be dissatisfied.
I went ahead and bought this machine and after owning it for a month now I am very pleased. It cleans very well and leaves the floor almost completely dry if used properly. Walking barefoot over the floor after using the Hoover is a delight it just feels clean on on the feet. I don't think the dry vac feature is as bad as some say however for me it is just easier to simply sweep the floor first.
After owning any new item and using it for a while I ask myself this question. Would I buy it again? My answer in this case it absolutely!

I thought I already had clean floors, BUT when I used this Floormate the first time,my floors were so shiny that they had a reflective quality to them! The machine does an excellent job at cleaning and a fair job at drying. The first time I used it, the floors were so shiny, that my teenage son and his friends literally stopped in the doorway and asked how long the floors would take to dry. LOL They were really surprised to hear they were already dry. : )
I use my Floormate Cleaner every single day because I have a Yorkie puppy who has pee pee accidents. It picks those up and then washes the floor with clean and soapy water and then dries them, leaving them fresh and smelling good.
I didn't like the smell of the sample cleaner that came with it. I prefer "yummy" fragrances. I use just a little bit of LYSOL Orange Breeze 4 in 1 All Purpose Cleaner instead and it works beautifully.
I am SO glad I bought this machine, it was worth every penny and I only wish I had it years ago when my kids were little too!

This is ONE INCREDIBLE MACHINE! My house is entirely tile and vinyl-floored, and believe me, over the years I have tried EVERYTHING to clean them. Mopping takes forever, is backbreaking, and untimately just spreads around dirty water to dry. Ick. The steam cleaners take forever, too, and they still leave dirty water on the floor. Plus, they have to be repeatedly filled with water, and the hot, dirty pads changed. The floormate does the best job of cleaning the floor by far, and it's a lot less work than the other methods. The two tanks are small, though, so you'll spend a lot of time refilling and emptying. Having owned a carpet cleaner machine, and knowing what a mess that was to clean up afterwards, I was expecting the worst with the Floormate, too. What a surprise! It is so well-designed, that it's easy to take apart, rinse, dry, and reassemble. I am more that delighted with my Hoover Floormate. I wish I'd had it years ago! Amazon's price was by far the lowest of any other retailer, too.Customer Review: Great On Stained Concrete!

This tool definitely cleans up stained concrete floors painlessly. Prior to rewaxing our floors, we scrubbed our floors with the Floormate using water and vinegar as the cleaning solution. It easily removed dirt (that includes everything from coffee drips to dried cat vomit!) that has been caked onto the floor with one or two passes of the brush. When set to dry pick-up or scrub, it will pick up fluid well enough that the floor dries within a few seconds.
I have not tried using the Floormate as a dry vacuum only because I have read many reviews saying that it does not pick-up well when used in that function. When we used it to do a major scrub down, I vacuumed first with my Dyson Animal (the best dry vacuum I have ever tried...and I've gone through a lot of them!). If you are looking for an all-in-one vacuum, this is not the appliance for you. If you want a wet vacuum/scrubber that works well and does not cost an arm and a leg, the Floormate is definitely a great buy.

i like this product a lot. i use it daily and now instead of dreading my hardwood floors i can actually enjoy them. it's much less work than sweeping and getting out a mop and bucket - the low price is worth it for having a hardwood floor vacuum alone (my old heavy vacuum was damaging the floors). the only complaint i have is minor - it does take some time to run the machine over the floors (think 1/3 as fast as a vacuum), but i wouldn't go back to the old method for anything. i am very glad i bought it and recommend it to all my friends. so far i haven't had any problems with it mechanical or otherwise. it would be nice if the solution was specialized (one for wood, one for laminates) as it does leave a duller finish than a specialized wood oil, but it's just so rewarding to have smooth floors i can walk on comfortably in bare feet. this model is cheaper than the top of the line model i believe only because it doesn't come with (unnecessary for me) attachments. highly recommended!
