Bought one of these for my mom first. She liked it so much I bought one for myself and got rid of my old noisy model. This one is amazingly quiet. At first I thought maybe it wasn't working properly because it was so quiet, but soon I began to feel my allergies reduce. I don't have to raise the volume of my TV to hear over it AND I feel that it's really cleared the air of allergens. This is the best air purifier I've owned, and I've had several different ones.
