Customer Review: Rarely is something so inexpensive, so good...

This is truly a little wonder. It's also rather clever. What you don't see in the picture is that the plastic rod is split in half for about 1 and a half inches from the tip. When you turn it on, the two halves splay because of centrifugal force and become the mixing blades. When you turn it off, the ends come back together. Over time, they don't come as close together at rest, but this is not a problem. You can also rest the mixer on its side and the plastic rod does not contact the surface.
I've been using it for about 14 days, daily. I mainly use it to make hot chocolate from scratch. I've also used it to whip a small amount of whipped cream (though I don't think it did it any faster than other beaters). The mixer would do fine with any low viscous liquid and I imagine probably does well with eggs, or whipping egg whites, though I haven't tried it yet with that. Cleaning is easy. Let it run in a cup of soapy water, then rinse.
I liked these so much that I just ordered 10 of them to give away as gifts. The shipping for 10 was only about $6.50 which puts these little wonders at just over $5 each shipped. I want these around as gifts.
Finally, only one thing I noticed after a couple weeks of use. When I press the on-switch now, the rod won't rotate immediately. I have to give it a little twist and it starts right up. Maybe a little blast of WD-40 on the motor would fix that. But it's not really an inconvenience.
