Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Hercules Hook Wall Hooks 10-pkCustomer Review: Not real monkey hooks Summary: 2 Stars
Love Monkey hooks, hang everything from them. Figured these hooks are basically the same, but these are significantly cheaper than the real thing. Got these yesterday, and discovered I had wasted $10 buying 3 packs of these. These hooks don't have the 'bump' that real monkey hooks have, so they twist and slip right out of the wall. The part that sticks out is straight instead of hooked, and points closer to straight out rather than curving up. Makes using them more of a balancing act than hanging on a hook.
On the upside these are really cheap, so trowing them in the trash isn't too big a deal. If you live in an area with metal recycling, it would be even better. I ordered a set of the real Monkey Hooks and will have to wait patiently on shipping to get my new stuff hung.
Customer Review: You made me a believer! Summary: 5 Stars
I was very skeptical of this product, in large part because of the TV commercials. Nevertheless, I bought a box since I had a number of new framed pictures which needed hanging. What a great product this turned out to be. Just push the end through the wall and turn it so the hook is facing up. No hammer needed. I was also pleasantly surprised by how strong these hooks are. I hung a large framed picture (approx. 4' x 3') with glass on a single hook without thinking twice about it. If you choose to use 2 hooks, the Hercules hooks are also easier to level than regular picture hangers with a nail and separate metal hook. I highly recommend this product. It truly lives up to the TV hype.
Customer Review: TRY THEM ~ YOU'LL LIKE THEM!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I've used Hercules Hooks for many years now . . . and I love them!! Very easy to use, they don't leave a big hole when you want to change something (like a wall anchor does) and they hold heavy objects on sheet rock securely. I have arthritis in my fingers so sometimes I need a pliers to help get them in, but that's really no problem. I've given them to many friends and they all go out and buy some more. If you happen to hit a stud in the wall, then use a nail . . . but we all know that doesn't happen very often. I've hung pictures, mirrors, art objects, clocks, sconces . . . whatever, and they work beautifully with anything.
As I said . . . try them, you'll like them!!!
Customer Review: Highly recommend them! Summary: 5 Stars
Unfortunately, I hung several pictures in my new house before ordering Hercules Hooks and have anchors, screws, nail holes and even some cracked plaster to show for it. Hercules Hooks are so much quicker and easier, and they make a neat little hole. They also really do slip out of the wall if you decide to move the picture elsewhere. Hercules Hooks live up to their advertising claim, though I have not tested any 150 lb loads yet. Hint: Have a nail handy for when a stud is hit; the hook will not insert at a stud but you don't need anything more than a nail there.

Customer Review: Although I am sick of Billy Mays screaming at me, this product is something to shout about!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Rarely do you find a truly great "As Seen on TV" product. This is one of those times. Hanging anything with Hercules Hooks is soooo easy. All you do is push the hook through the sheetrock. It's as simple as that. And it doesn't require The World's Strongest (wo)Man to operate. What happens if you want to move a picture? With Hercules Hooks, you just pull the hook out and move the item to its new location, leaving only a tiny hole in the wall. This product has saved me alot of time and money and has prevented much frustration. Overall I highly recommend this product.
