Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Harold's Kitchen Insects & Flowers Cookie Cutters, Set of 11 in a TinCustomer Review: tiny shapes Summary: 3 Stars
I find most cookie cutter shapes unexciting but I like bugs and flowers. Cook's Illustrated recommends metal cutters over plastic ones. These may call my Forschner cutproof glove into service.
The sizes are basically bite size which is just perfect for me plus the designs are just what I like so this set is doubly perfect and I recommend it. I think its okay to make tiny cookies. I can't wait to make different recipes for each shape. And to finally use royal icing.
Ideas:
gingerbread crocus with lemon icing
sugar cookie butterflies
hazelnut daisy with raspberry jam center
thyme bee with orange icing
sage dragonfly
mung bean ladybug
tarragon cocoa grasshopper with green icing
brown sugar honeycomb
Made in China
Customer Review: Cute, but Tiny Summary: 3 Stars
These cookie cutters are VERY small. I find it difficult to get the cookies out without breaking off the small tips. Also, they're a pain to clean. They don't have any flaws other than that and are very cute.
Customer Review: very cute Summary: 4 Stars
I bought these cutters to make marshmallow fondant cutouts for a cake. They worked great. My only criticism is that I couldn't get them back into their tin for storage.
