They work well. If used once a day they will last @ 4 years.
This item is the quintessence of what Americans have learned to love.
The price is right and after they start to look a little tacky and you are ready for something newer and brighter, they most assuredly break. I have been through 3 now. I know the drill.
There is no point in buying more than 2 because they break not so much due to 4 years of daily use. They fail from (exposure to air-and probably sunlight as well). The manufacturers know this. But, why sell something that has no residual sales when you can 'keep 'em coming back for more'. However, I can afford two tongs and don't feel so badly about the cost of the shipping/handling and whatever else "they" want to add on to the cost. They are adequate. Tom
