I promptly received 2 of these telescopes today - 3 days after ordering. The ordering went smoothly, receipt was prompt, and the telescope was even better than we expected. After we figured out you focus by moving the telescope in and out instead of turning, it focused very clearly. Our twin grandchildren will have lots of fun playing Dora and Diego while exploring.

This handle of this high-quality brass 15" telescope is wrapped with leather and will magnify far away objects and landscapes with a clear image. The scope extends to a full 15 inches and then can retract to fit into its own handy leather carrying case.
Galileo is credited with inventing the first refracting telescope. Through his understanding of how light passes through a lens, he was able to construct a device that focused on an image and enabled the user to see an object as though it were brighter, clearer or closer.
The magnification of this brass telescope is 12x.
