Customer Review: Great Mixer, but search around for the best deal!

I purchased this mixer from another site after reading great reviews on it. I also learned that this mixer was named by Consumer Reports as a best buy! I purchased this mixer for about $125 and it is my first stand mixer. I've always used hand mixers for any of my baking needs and needless to say, I always tried to bake as little as possible. Once I got my new stand mixer though, boy oh boy did that change! I love this mixer. First of all, this thing is solid and heavy. It looks great sitting on my counter and it is amazing how much I use it now. I did throw away the clear plastic thing that sits on the outside of the bowl that is supposed to help you add ingredients...I just thought it got in my way! I have not used it for bread yet, so I cannot say how much power it has for that. It does great with all the general cakes, cookies, whipped cream, meringue, and mashed potatoes that I've thrown at it so far. I've had this four about 6 months and I am looking forward to all the baking that I will be doing this holiday season. It's a great purchase! I have saved the original box, paperwork and receipts though as I am paranoid that it is too good to be true. I hope that I wont have to use that 3 year warranty they provide!
