Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Hamilton Beach 62695V Power Deluxe Hand MixerCustomer Review: #1 speed setting too fast Summary: 4 Stars
OK, for twenty bucks it works reasonably well. We like the storage container to hold the attachments. But if you're looking for a lower speed to blend ingredients like flour or pancake mix, buy something else. The #1 speed setting is way too fast. Anything higher than #4 will decorate your kitchen walls "at no extra charge".
Customer Review: You get what you pay for Summary: 3 Stars
This mixer worked well for a while, but they had to cut corners somewhere to hit the $20 price point, and after about a year a plastic gear in the drive train stripped and now the whole mixer has to go to a landfill which makes me sad. From now on I'll look for "built to last" in the feature list, and pay a little more.
Customer Review: An Incredible Value!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I don't need a mixer too frequently, but this mixer is great for cake mixes and even cookie dough. Although it slows donw in thick dough, it works great on everything else.
I highly recommend this for basic mixing needs. Frequent bakers should still consider a stand-up mixer however.
Customer Review: Great hand mixer Summary: 5 Stars
This hand mixer does a great job! We use it for mashed potatos, frosting, and for whipping cream. I especially love that it comes with an attachable whisk. That is my favorite. I also like that is sits on a storage container for the mixers and whisk. It's a great way to keep everything together.
Customer Review: Smoke and Mirrors Summary: 1 Stars
This mixer seemed good - a handy dandy stand, "power deluxe", power and convenience rolled into one, right? Wrong. My mixer was sent to its final resting place, after expelling a large cloud of smoke, while trying to mix cookie dough. This mixer lasted only 1 year and did not live up to its name.
