Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Hamilton Beach 48465 Brewstation Summit Ultra 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

Customer Review: nice coffee machine
Summary: 5 Stars

I wanted a coffe maker that doesn't use a coffee pot to replace the one I had. I took a chance ordering this because of the complaints that it leaks a lot. Well, I have had it for several months now and it has not leaked at all. I'm not sure what the other people are talking about. This machine has settings for auto make, bold, and 1-4 cups. It also allows you to program your shut off time from 0-4 hours. The only thing is that I don't think it brews as hot a cup as my older one. Overall though,I think this was a great purchase.

Customer Review: Great product
Summary: 4 Stars

I had a traditional 12 cup coffee maker and I was tired of the burnt taste and scalding of the pot. This product is great coffee tastes fresh all the time, I love the ability to keep it warm for up to 4hrs...and that I can program to have my coffee ready for me every morning when I wake up.
My only issue is that when you have filled your cup and pull the cup away the coffee always seems to run down the side of the cup.
This product is easy to clean and is very sleek in design. I highly recommend this product.

Customer Review: Poorly Designed
Summary: 1 Stars

This is a sleek looking device that suffers from poor execution on a good idea. It is cumbersome to use. Cheesy lid drips water over exterior when opened. More importantly, at least for this particular example, the valve at the base of the coffee tank broke after less than 1 week of use. Recommend you choose a different model or another brand.Hamilton Beach 48465 Brewstation Summit Ultra 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

Customer Review: So far, so good - requires thin walled cups
Summary: 5 Stars

Just brought it home from a local store, replacing a worn out Cuisenart Grind and Brew. We filled our coffee cups and travel mugs without any spills. Each mug we used is thin walled, so it may be that spilling is related to thicker walled mugs. We noticed the cord is shorter than the grind and brew, so we had to locate it to a different spot on our counter. The coffee tastes fine, and the machine was quiet.
Nov. 24 - Updated review from 3 - 5 stars, as the machine is performing very well, we like it.

Customer Review: Worst coffee pot ever
Summary: 1 Stars

Bought this at Target, and brought it home. After running hot water through it, I tried to dispense some and it proved nearly impossible. If I pressed hard enough to get the water out, the whole maker slid, if I pressed it back against the wall, I had to stoop down to get the right angle on the dispenser bar. If the mug had a rim, I had to angle the cup one way, if it didn't, I had to angle it a different way. Either way, it still dripped coffee all over the counter. This will go back to the store today.
