Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Hamilton Beach 43254 Ensemble 12-Cup Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe, BlackCustomer Review: Cheap plastic parts breaks easily Summary: 3 Stars
This coffee pot is easy to use, makes decent coffee, and makes more cups than most of the pots you find.
However, it is cheaply made. The hinge for the pot lid is shockingly poorly made, out of a teensy plastic piece that popped off after only a couple of gentle months use. Without the top, this coffee pot is useless because the top of the pot tells the coffee maker when to work and and when to stop-if you pick up the pot during brewing it puts the brewing on hold until you replace the pot.
The cheapness is very disappointing.
Customer Review: MG Summary: 5 Stars
After years of trying all kinds of coffee makers; European, American, expensive & cheap, I finally found a coffee maker that made great coffee and a coffee pot that put all the coffee.... in the cup and not all over the counter. Not much to ask for but only this coffee maker by Hamilton Beach did the job. I will look for other Hamilton Beach products because if they can get the coffee maker right, bet they can do other products well too. Tried to put tags of "best coffee maker" and "no spill coffee maker" but couldn't get tag line to accuate.
Customer Review: Great coffeemaker Summary: 5 Stars
I did a lot of research this time before I purchased a coffeemaker. I had some preconceived notions that the research changed. The research helped me make the right decision for a change. This is a very good coffeemaker. It is easy to load with both water and coffee grounds. It is easy to program and easy to clean. The housing does not leak, it is drip free when you interrupt the preparation, and the carafe does not drip when pouring. I have purchased lots of coffeemakers, and this one is by far the best.
Customer Review: Good value coffee maker Summary: 4 Stars
This coffee maker does what it should - make coffee. It's pretty low frills, but at its price point, it's to be expected. It makes and keeps very hot coffee, and I love the programmable auto-brew feature. My chief complaint is the cord is really short, we actually had to buy an extension cord to be able to plug it in and keep it in the corner on the counter. If I had to do it over, I'd probably drop a few more dollars and get something a little nicer, but, again, for the price, it's a decent coffee maker.
Customer Review: Good for the price Summary: 5 Stars
Does the job, does it well. Coffee is hot, the automatic feature is intuitive, no long books to read to learn how to use this coffee maker. At this price, cannot and will not last a life time.(where would be the joy of buying something else and annoy the consumer?) I was contemplating what to buy for my morning coffee- a 15 bucks B&D or a 300 machine that almost sings to you:) The choices on the market are so many and after 1 hr spent on the net I decided- this one. Happy with it. I am. Regards.
