I've been using the HB Step Savor Skillet/Griddle for about 5 months now and I'm so glad I did a little research and chose this one to replace my old electric skillet and electric griddle. Why???
StepSavor--heats evenly (old skillet and griddle had hot spots; had to move food around a lot)
(You should see how pretty the pancakes and grilled cheese turn out!)
--large capacity (it holds more than my old rectangle skillet; this is important with 2 grown sons and a husband to feed)
(even though it holds a lot, it takes up less space on the countertop because of the square design and sleek handles)
--great non-stick surface (still recommend using plastic or wooden utinsils; why take chances)
--rubber grips on bottom keep it from sliding on countertop (if you accidentally bump it, liquids don't slosh; not that this ever happened to me...)
--pan can go straight to table for serving (so the base has time to cool while you eat)
--cleanup is sooo easy! (The pan is lighter and a lot less bulky than old skillet and the griddle wipes clean quickly and easily)
--storage!! The best part!!!! (All the parts nest together and fit neatly into it's wire rack and are held vertically in the cabinet, which saves a great deal of space. Even the cord has it's own 'nesting' place on the bottom. All important features when you have a really small kitchen like mine)
Overall, seems well made and very well designed.

Sautéing, frying, stir-frying, deep-frying, simmering, and braising are all within the griddle-and-skillet's reach. At 11-1/2 inches square, the griddle accommodates plenty of pancakes, burgers, and steaks; at 12-1/2 inches square and 2-1/2 inches deep, the skillet holds up to 4 quarts of chili, stew, or soup.
