This is a great slow cooker. I love the fact that it is programmable, and especially the fact that it has a probe for cooking meat.
I have used this to cook a whole chicken and a pork roast with the probe.
Wonderfully moist meat. Of course, it won't brown the chicken, but since I take the skin off anyway, it does not matter. I have also cooked swiss steak. Yum.
Again, 5 stars.

I bought this slow cooker because I was sick of having liquid spill out as I transported food to the office. It works great! The rubber gasket around the lid seals everything in and the clamps on either side of the lid keep it sealed down tight. Slow cooker functions are pretty much the same on all models but the way this lid seals sets this cooker apart. Good thinking by Hamilton Beach!Customer Review: Great cooker for a family of 4

I LOVE THIS SLOW COOKER! Their probe works great and the temperature is not too hot that it burns things, like I read on reviews of other products. The quality is great and the keep warm feature is absolutely wonderful so the food does not get dried out or over-cooked. I recommend this slow cooker to anyone who is looking for a new one as a wonderful alternative to other older brands.Customer Review: Excellent cooker, but not for heavy use

I loved this cooker, but it couldn't stand up to how much I was using it. I've just blown through my second one in about 4 months, so I think I'm going to either have to buy a commercial one or modify how I use it. I use it every night to cook my breakfast the next morning (on ~ 11 hours between Low cooking and warming) as well as for homemade stock, yogurt and the occasional dinner.Customer Review: pot cracked!

Worked great for a year and a half, but then the pot cracked and food leaked out into the base. Locking handles work great but the lid retains the odor of whatever you cook in it because of the rubber seal around the edge. Since I've had it for so long I probably won't be able to get a replacement pot and will have to buy a new set- probably a different brand this time.
