Customer Review: Good for Dorm Use
Summary: 4 Stars
Temperature: So far it's kept my ice cream at a smooth, frozen state, and the rest of my drinks cold. This is at the highest setting.
Noise: It's not quiet, but it's not unbearably loud either. I have the fridge right by my bed and have no trouble sleeping at night. In fact, if you live on campus like I do, this fridge is going to be the least of your problems noise-wise. I can barely hear it half the time, unless it's dead silent (which it never is on campus).
Space: The dimensions of the freezer can be frustrating, because it's not high enough for most ice cream containers. It can hold ice cream sandwiches and popsicles and frozen dinners just fine, but I have to repackage the ice cream I buy to make it fit.
Shipping: Here is where the most caution needs to be taken. The original packing of the fridge really terrible. The box has no bottom, so when you are transporting it, it's really easy to damage the bottom of the fridge. I suggest transporting it yourself or choosing faster delivery. Make sure to wait 24 hrs before plugging it in.
Overall, this is a good fridge for a college dorm room. The price is affordable and the size allows it to fit just about anywhere. It's also light enough for one person to carrying it short distances. But if you are not living on campus and have the money to buy something larger and quieter, then do that instead.
