Customer Review: Most Goos go or fade but don't expect miracles

I wasn't aware of Goo Gone but my wife was and she mentioned it when she could no longer find it at the store. That's where Amazon comes into the picture. This size is an excellent deal, given the free shipping.
We are using this mostly to eliminate stains from clothing. It works pretty well if 'used as directed' - rub the stained area, give it a few minutes, rub it with clean cloth, drop it in the washer with extra detergents. If threated this way, MOST stains will either disappear or fade a little or a lot.
To conclude, this is a more than decent cleaner. This petroleum-based cleaner is not as loudly promoted as the peroxide-based OxiClean but it does at least as good a job if not better. Probably better. We will continue to use it.

I grew up with this product and have always known it as a super effective product. Got sticker residue? Use Goo Gone. What else?
My only concern here was the price and quantity. But I was sure surprised. I was considering getting the 1oz, as it was cheaper, but this being the 8oz and being around the same price, I couldn't walk away from the deal.
I almost regret it. I've used this to remove 4+ sticker stains, and I doubt I've used 1/20th of the bottle. It's so much!
My only complaint is that they give you a single hole to squirt this through. Some kind of plastic knob or mechanism would make it easier to apply. But it's not that big of a deal.
IMPORTANT: Don't just open it up and pour it on something and start scrubbing away. It doesn't work like that. Put enough to cover the area, let it sit for 3minutes, then wipe away. You won't have to repeat this more than twice, if ever at all.

I use Goo-Gone daily to remove stickers, grease pencil, dirt and sometimes scuffs from non-porous surfaces such as glossy dust jackets, coated plastic, glass and many other surfaces. It is not intended for use on fabrics, untreated wood or any other porous surface that will absorb the oil. It is a citric acid formula that will leave a permanent stain if used improperly. I particularly love to use it to clean glassy or coated dust jackets as it not only cleans them very effectively but also brings new life back to the original sheen. It also leaves behind a pleasant citrus odor, which can be an improvement for older and used books.
This is a great product when used wisely. Test inconspicuous areas of any questionable material before applying it liberally. It can be difficult to find though I still find it in some hardware stores.

Goo Gone Cleaner. This product is literally one of the best boo boo fixers I've ever spent my money on. Well worth its retail purchase price, I have come to always keeping a bottle around my home. I'm impressed with the products careful ability to remove leftover adhesive material from price tags, bumper stickers, and tape.
I also use this product for wiping down tools after working on the car. Spot treating laundry before throwing a load in the machine (yes it does get grease spots out of clothes).
I keep a bottle of Goo Gone in the hidden compartment of the school bus I drive too; Students write on the windows or walls of the bus with crayons or pens, ... this stuff gets it off.
I will keep buying this product.

Customer Review: Big help when cleaning sticker goo!

Over the summer, I work for my local school district's technology department. Since every student receives a school-issued laptop, they think it instantly becomes theirs and they put stickers all over them. This stuff is a wonder at getting rid of the gunk that the stickers leave behind. We were using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer which worked, but a lot of it was required. (Mix the two and never see goo again!) I just thought I would add my two cents for this stuff and let people know another use for it!
We only used it on brushed surfaces, NOT glossy, so I can't comment for that. We also didn't use it on screens. Please don't pour it right onto the computer unless you are using just a few dots worth...it could get all over very easily.
Voila! The Goo is in fact Gone!
