But I'm not complaining; I knew it would be large. This "cup" holds a full 24 ounces to the brim. A bit too large for a single Mint Julep, which I think should be about 16 ounces. I think I'll use this to hold the collection of mint sprigs on display while I'm preparing a batch of Juleps in my four smaller cups. OR, for a romantic tete a tete, me and her, one large cup, two straws.

Now as to quality: The cup came packaged very well, including a fluffy cotton sleeve around the cup itself to prevent scratches even from the packing--nice touch. This is a silver plated cup, but the description doesn't say what's under the plating. What ever it is, this is a hefty cup--feels nice and solid. The silver plating is buffed to a nice almost-mirror finish. Curiously, the inside shows better workmanship than the outside. I don't know if this is a fluke with my cup or whether this is a systemic problem at the factory.

The only disappointment I have with the cup is that mine has a small blemish on the outside just to the left of the engraved flower design. It's not obvious to a casual glance, but it would be noticed by anyone who might pick the cup up to admire it. Fortunately the flower design appears on opposite sides of the cup; I can keep the unblemished side forward.

I give the cup four stars because of the blemish.
