Customer Review: Sturdy and attractive. Could be a little deeper.

This is a nice little set for entertaining or just doing an Asian-themed meal at home for the family. The pourers hold an ample amount of soy sauce and are quite sturdy (not thin and chintzy). I washed them on the top shelf of my dishwasher with no problems. Anything that can go in the dishwasher is a selling point to me. With 3 kids in the house, I don't want to waste time hand washing intricate pieces. The bottles are heavy enough that they stand upright easily and don't fall over when bumped lightly, as some others I've seen do. I only have 2 complaints. One is that the dipping plates don't hold very much, as they are quite shallow, but this seems to be true of this type of dish, overall. My main complaint is that the dishes don't stack, so you have to find a different way to store them in your cupboard. I ended up putting them in a small container with a couple of napkins to keep them from chipping. Not very much extra work, but it keeps them from falling out of the cupboard every time I open the door. Overall, it is a very nice set, if you keep that in mind.

The small sauce bowls are round and resemble a yin and yang symbol with a curved divider running through the middle.
