I'm so happy with this set of knives. I bought it about 2 months ago and I love how they keep their edge! Having now a santoku knife makes me wonder how I even lived without one before. I only hand-wash my knives, the santoku -the one I use the most- has minor, microscopic signals of rust. I simply applied a rust remover and it is as if nothing happened. I also recommend oiling your knives every once in a while before putting them back into the wood block.
Overall, I recommend this item to anyone that loves working at ease in the kitchen.

I am just so completely impressed with this knife set that I'm going to be purchasing some for each wedding I've got to attend in the future, lol. Coming in at a super price these low cost lovelies really do the trick in the kitchen.
I'd read the reviews and contemplated saving up for a Wusthof set because I do like those after having splurged on one of their paring knifes a few years ago, but with having a family of 5 I'd be saving for awhile.
Just get these you won't be disappointed having this set for basic everyday use.

I bought this item because my old set was at the point where sharpening was not doing any good (never knew you shouldn't put in dishwasher) and needed a good new set. I thought that Ginsu was a good knife brand but they aren't any sharper than the ones I had (could just be this particular set). I was about to check into Amazon's return policy but went past 30 days so just assumed I could not return it. I ended up getting my old set back out again which actully work better even though they are somewhat dull. I will have to look at other sets.Customer Review: Good Buy

I'm pleased with this set of knives. I hand wash them even though they are supposed to be able to go in the dishwasher. I'm used to using my old cheap set of dull knives and these knives were a pleasant surprise. I've been chopping veggies by hand instead of using my food processor just because these knives chop so well. I keep trying to think of new things to use them for when I'm preparing food. I'm the kind of person that likes to get in and out of the kitchen as fast as possible but these are making food prep more enjoyable.Customer Review: Excellent Professional Quality Knives

Excellent buy. I love cooking and entertaining and these knives have cut my food preparation time in half because of their high quality efficieny but, be careful I've knicked myself countless times already just cleaning the blades. The knives are extremely sharp and just a brush across it will draw blood. The first time I cut myself was pullign them out the box. You can't touch the blade at all without cutting yourself but,that says a lot about the quality. I won't need to sharpen these knives for years to come if ever.
