I bought these knives for my daughter who loves to cook but doesn't want to or know how to properly sharpen a knife and who puts her knives in the dishwasher. She LOVES her Ginsu knives!!! I prefer carbon steel knives and therefor hand wash and sharpen them after every use. That is too much trouble for her. I put a lot of thought into selecting these knives as a gift and these were a great choice. Works well for a busy Single Mom who loves to cook!Customer Review: WOW!

I was in the market for some utility knives, I went to the departments stores and wasnt satisfied with what they had available unless I was willing to spend close to $200 and even then it seemed that I wouldnt have been satisfied. I took a chance with this, because the price couldnt be beat. Well, these knives are perfect for all my culinary needs. They are attractive, well balanced, and compact so that it doesnt wipe out my counter top.Customer Review: Great set of knives!

I absolutely loves these knives. It was at a great price too!! I have been able to cut my food better than I expected. I think they are very eye appealing also. I am hand washing them based on reading others reviews to avoid any rust spots. Overall this is a great set for anyone who is looking for a beautiful set at a low price. The reason for the four and not five is that we've not had them too long. However for how long we've had them (two months) we have enjoyed them very much. Very sharp out of the box. Very attractive knives as well. Have run them through the dishwasher many times with no apparent rust at all. Not wanting to spend hundred and hundreds of dollars on knives we purchased these. Although I have not had the opportunity to use these knives very much, I can say that the few times I have used them they were plenty sharp and they all feel very well balanced in my hand. The only thing I could complain about at this point is that the block they come in is not very balanced and has a tendency to tip over if I bump it wrong. Overall a good product which works well for my purpose, cooking simple meals at home.
