I was weary ordering a Ginsu set because just the name gives me that 80s/90s infomercial vibe. But I decided to try this set and it's quite good for the price range. The knives are extremely sharp (I cut my fingers while washing dishes and didn't realize it until some dish soap made its way into the cuts!), are fairly well balanced and seem to be of good quality for the price. I've always liked the feel of Bakelite handles, so that was a plus. The knives and the block look great in my kitchen, as well.Customer Review: not customer friendly!

I purchased this item for my sister for a christmas present and i was so embrassed when she opened it in front of me and what was supposed to be a 14 piece knife set was only a 13 peice! I contacted todays concept to request them to send me the knife she was missing and they refused and wanted me to take her present and ship the whole thing back to them! What a joke!!! Why would we want to pay to ship the whole set back when she is only missing ONE knife. This company needs better customer service skills!Customer Review: Horrible knives!

I'm not sure if my product was just defective, but these are the dullest knives I have ever used! I have 12 year old Henkels that I was trying to replace. They have NEVER been sharpened and are quite dull. These knives are duller than those old ones. It almost seems like the company forgot to sharpen my knives, especially after all of the great reviews on here. I am returning them as they are obviously defective and I think I'll just sharpen my old knives as they are obviously much better quality.Customer Review: Best Knives Ever!

I was doing some major research for knife sets and didn't want to pay an arm and leg for a knife set but also wanted good quality knives. When I read the reviews for the product and heard nothing but good stuff about the Ginsu knives I just had to buy these. I been using these knives for almost 2 years now and wash them regularly in the dishwasher and have not seen any rust or lost the sharpness of the blades. I really love these knives and will buy Ginsu again in the future, I am a believer!!Customer Review: Wonderful set. Very sharp and very useful.

I love this set. I've had it for about 2 and a half months. It's very sharp and cuts the food perfectly. I love the bread knife. Set also has 6 meat knives. We eat a lot of steaks when we have guests over. And it's only natural to serve the meat with the proper utensils. So these come in handy. Knives are really easy to clean - no stains, very compact. I was able to cut myself 2 times because I wasn't careful enough, so yes.. they are SHARP. But that's good. I strongly recommend this product.
