I ordered these knives based on the price factor, but also the quantity factor as well. I was trying to get as much as I could for as little money as possible. I was lucky enough to accomplish both! I had heard of Ginsu knives before as being sold on TV, but had never actually owned any. These are some great knives for the price! They come razor sharp out of the box and so far they have stayed that way for me. The knife block was a huge attraction as well. I am really happy with these knives, and while there are certainly much better quality knives out there, you will also be paying an arm and a leg and get half of what you get with this set.Customer Review: Presented to my Mom as a GIFT

While on a trip back home to visit family, I was invited to a home-cooked ham dinner by my Mom. When it came time to carve it, I was presented with the honors. I went through five carving knives from my Moms odd assortment, none of which would take an edge well enough to do the job. When I returned home I ordered this knife set and had it shipped to my Mom as a gift. Now she raves about how great they are every time I talk with her. I also gave the same set as a wedding gift, which was appreciated equally as well by the newly-wed recipients. You simply cannot go wrong buying this or any other GINSU knife set. I just got my ginsu knives a week ago. They are not bad. I thought for the really low price something would be wrong. I must say for the price best knife set I've ever run across. The block functions but I think they make them to fit a variety of knife sizes.. some slots are way too big. Steak knives are good but not as sharp as the others.. I believe It's on purpose.. can cut through tough meat no problem..any sharper and they could be dangerous... cut myself washing them. Chef knife takes some getting used to..no chopping. The boning knife is awesome if used for the right application. Overall can't be beat for the money.Customer Review: Ginsu Experience

After a miserable year financially in 2007, I needed to get a Christmas gift for the wife/cook that did the job, but didn't break the bank. I took a chance and purchased these Ginsu knives after having to re-sharpen our existing cheapo set of knives countless times in 2007.
So far, so good. The wife loves the new set of Ginsu knives, and the fact that they stay sharp (so far) and look nice in the black holder. Plus, I look like a hero, buying something nice for the wife that she can use, even though 2007 was a lean year for us.

Purchased these for my college age son; setting up a second household is not inexpensive and this set offers a bit of everything plus a knife block. For safety a full tang is important, it provides strength and longevity, nothing worse than having a tang pull loose from the handle when you cutting. Time and experience have shown that Ginsu blades do last a long time and sharpening is not required. I anticipate this set shall last well through his twenties. Price is more than completive and with super saver shipping you can`t find a better deal...
