The reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is because I compared this unit to the older Jumbo model I owned. This is a jumbo model too, but comparitively, this has lesser surface area, is slower to heat up, is a little clumsy in design. The only reason I still prefer this new model over my previous older one is that this has detachable plates which are way too easy to clean than my previous one, which was quite a chore. We use the grill every day, whether its to cook frozen chicken strips/tater tots/frozen naans/grill veggies/fish etc etc.Customer Review: Good Buy

For the money this is a really great in-home grill. It accomodates a really good-sized steak or several burgers easily. The greatest thing is the removable plates that can be cleaned in the dishwasher...even a man can do it!! I just wish the manufacturer could find a way that the grill won't get this smoked, charred look at the back of the grill. I'm a clean freak and hate my grill not to look completely at its best. If you have a shortage of counterspace, you may not want a grill this large. All in all, I'd buy this product again.Customer Review: I would prefer it to be smaller

I had an old small george forman that started sticking everything.
Someone told me about the newer models that has removable plate grill.
I could only find the 72 inch that had the removable parts, so I bought it.
It is much too big for a single person, takes too much room on the counter top,
in the cabinets and the grill do not fit in the sink and takes up too much space in the dish washer.
This might be god for a big family, but not for me.
I would like ot if it was half this size or smaller.

I purchased this grill from Amazon about 4 weeks ago. We are using it at least 4 times a week and my husband and I love it. There hasn't been a failure yet. Everything tastes great when cooked on this grill. I noticed that some complained that the removable plates fell off but that has definitely not been a problem for us. Maybe they weren't fastened properly??? I wonder why I didn't buy this grill a long time ago and I am planning to get one for each of my daughters as a birthday gift. I had owned the first generation Foreman grill for a long time and used it sparingly. It was just too hard to clean, primarily because it couldn't be submerged in water. I did much research and purchased this grill as a Valentine's gift to myself (husband bought himself golf shoes). Romantic, huh? I really like this grill. It is compact, does a great job grilling all sorts of food and - best of all - the plates are easily removed and easy to clean. I use it MUCH more often than the old one, which was given to charity. Enjoy!
