Customer Review: Not what we'd hoped for!

Don't know if this was a defective product or a problem with the GRP4 in general, but the upper part of the grill did not get hot enough to toast bread in paninis, or to grill burgers. We had to flip the sandwich/burger over to get that 'brown' look.
As a result, we chose to return the GRP4 for a refund.
In the past, we've like the George Foreman products. We hope this was a fluke!

Our family loves our new George Foreman Grill! We had received a different model for a gift, and decided to return it and get the one with removable plates. So happy that we did! The plates come on and off in a snap, and we are much more likely to use the grill then we were before, with our previous smaller and harder to clean model. Amazon definitely had the best price too, and delivery was fast too!Customer Review: Not as good as my old George Foreman grill

This grill with removable plates just does not maintain temperature needed to grill anything over 1/2" thick! It's okay for thin burgers, but unless you like steamed ribeyes, go with the older (non-removeable plates style) George Foreman grills or consider another manufacturer. I'd be sending it back except that the burgers I grilled during the warranty period were great - then I tried a $15.00 steak....Customer Review: Great Buy!!!

This product is OUTSTANDING!!! We had an old fashioned indoor grill and it was such a pain to disassemble and clean. The George Foreman not only cooks FASTER AND BETTER, but all we have to do to clean it is take the plates off (which are removed VERY EASILY) and put them in the dishwasher! We LOVE it! If you are at all hesitant, take my word for it, it is one of the best kitchen appliances you can buy!Customer Review: A disappointment!

This grill simply does not grill. I've tried hamburgers, chops and fish, and it all sort of simmers but does not brown or get crisp. My old Foreman which did not have removable plates worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, I gave it away before I tried this new one, and now I'm stuck with this which doesn't do the job at all. Very disappointed. I would have sent it back, but I ran out of time.
