For my first time using the George JR I grilled 2 chickens without trouble, but could not grill 2 potatoes in the basket because the gear kept slipping. Thinking about it its obvious that the lack of any mechanism to latch the 2 gears together a major flaw. Anything that has the potential be off balance, like almost anything in the round basket, will cause the gear to slip. It would have been really simple to have a catch or lock that prevented this......Customer Review: Our favorite specialty appliance

This is the only specialty type cooking appliance (other than a toaster) we have ever bought that we actually use. Chicken in this rotisserie is incredibly good! Forget the grocery store version of rotisserie chicken, a couple minutes of simple prep and you are on your way . Great for beef roasts too. Cleaning the back panel is a bit of a pain and we would probably use it even more if that were simpler. I owned the baby george for almost a year and now own the george junior because I wanted to cook larger cuts of meat. I have not been dissapointed by the performance of this machine, in fact I could not be more happy. This larger machine comes with a round basket for doing french, fries and vegatbles the results were better than expected. I have no negatives to speak of.

Have cooked 3 roasts, 2 steaks, 6 kabobs, 5 cornish hens and 1 - 9 lb. turkey. I used the old fashioned metal things to keep the turkey together. Worked pretty good. A few adjustments. All came out good. 3 Cornish hens does not work too well, 2 come out fantastic. As stated before, the cooking times in the book are about 5-10 minutes too long for my preferences. Love this product as of this date. Have had it almost a month.Customer Review: Couldn't be Happier with my Rotisserie!

A friend gave this to me for Christmas a year ago and I thought it was just another kitchen device that will take up a lot of space and get used once or twice a year. Boy, was I wrong! The first time we used it, we were hooked! It makes the juiciest best tasting chicken I have ever had. And the house smells so great while it's cooking! It's extremely easy to clean, too. We use it several times a month. Try it!
