I used this grill on July 11, 2009 for a ladies day event at my church. The event hosted a little over 300 women. As a vendor at the event I sold hamburgers (beef and homemade turkey burgers), hot dogs (ball park bun length), and turkey sausage dogs (the thick butterball turkey sausage you can cook for breakfast). I cooked 60 burgers, 20 of the turkey sausage dogs, and around 16 hot dogs. This grill held up superbly. I kept a water bottle and paper towels handy to keep the grill wiped down. I was concerned that the catch tray would be full and that I would have a big mess under the grill when I went to clean it out. To my surprise all of the fat from the burgers was in the catch tray, and there was only a small trickle of grease in the base! I was amazed! I purchased my grill at [...]. This was a great investment. I was able to plug the grill directly into the wall and it ran perfectly with no power outages. I sat the grill on a table instead of using the stand. Some of the vendors around me said they wanted to use my idea next year due to the simplicity of it. I received countless compliments on the grill and many of the ladies said they wanted to purchase one. I also use the grill at home, but I had to post a review on how well it worked under pressure.Customer Review: Great product - convenience at it's best

I've been waiting for a product like this for a long time. I was not keen on either using charcoal or gas-fired grills, largely because of their inconvenience. And, despite liking grilled foods I never purchased a charcoal or gas-fired grill. I first saw the George Foreman Grill on display in a department store and I almost bought it on the spot, but I decided to check Amazon first. I'm glad I did, because the Amazon price was about 40 dollars less and they offered free shiping to boot. Let's hear it for Amazon.com!!!
The grill is easy to use, works as advertized, is easy to store, and most importantly, easy to clean. I am convinced that buying this grill is one of the better purchases that I have ever made. I am doubly glad that I didn't buy another type of grill, for upon purchasing this grill, any other grill would quickly be shunted to the side.
Everything that we have prepared on the grill has been cooked the way that we like and the flavors of the preparations have been excellent. I am persuaded by my experience with this grill that it rates a full five-star rating. It is convenient, convenient, and convenient. Oh - did I forget to add that it is convenient? Don't hesitate to buy one. You'll never use charcoal or buy a tank of gas again.

Florida in the summertime is a difficult time for those of us who love outdoor cooking. It's rather hard to keep charcoal lit in the middle of a downpour - and those downpours happen just about every day this time of year. What's the solution? This grill! I set it up in the kitchen, plug it in, and I'm ready to cook.This grill has a large cooking surface, sufficient to handle 8 hamburgers with no crowding. It can also handle 6 large chicken-breasts or 4 good-sized steaks. The non-stick surface allows you to turn the meat often without tearing it. Don't use metal utensils with this grill! You'll damage the coating.
Cleanup is a breeze. I let the grill cool down to where it can be handled with bare hands, and then wipe off the worst of the grease, bbq, or whatever with a damp paper towel. Then I put it in the sink and hose it down with hot water. A few swipes of a soft soapy sponge removes any remaining traces, and a final hot rinse takes care of the soap. This method preserves the non-stick surface, which other reviewers have complained about.
I use the grill at least twice a week. Sometimes more. I never thought I'd give up my old charcoal grill, but I have. "Big George" has made a convert out of me!

I always take the publics opinion very seriously - this is how I learn what any product is REALLY like. This George Forman Grill is truely the best electric grill I have ever used. I lived in a condo for years and we were not allowed to have gas grills, so thats when it all began. Since then, I have moved into a big house, with a full acre yard.... I have all the room in the world for a gas grill now. However, I am SO pleased with the convenience of this electric grill, I will continue to use it! It is perfect. If I was forced to find a fault, I would say make the electric cord longer....but this is only because I'd like to take it out into the yard. I use an extenion cord for this. Otherwise, it is long enough to be safelt away from the house. You CANNOT go wrong in purchasing this grill. Oil tray is small and simple to clean. Cooks steaks to perfection - just heat the grill to max first before you throw the steaks on! Julianna, New Jersey PS... I ordered the grill on Amazon at 4pm on Tuesday, and the package was sitting on my porch by 9:30am the next day. I only payed for the cheapest, longer-wait delivery! I bought this grill because of the great reviews it got on Amazon. It is easy to put together, but seems a bit wobbly on the post. Someone wrote that there's nowhere to put the lid-- actually it has an attachment that allows the lid to hang off of the grill. The grill does work well, but I do NOT recommend it for indoors. We have a small apartment with a white rug, and luckily I put some paper bags over the floor just in time before the lid (while hanging over the side) dripped all over the floor. Also, quite a bit of steam rose, and I began to worry about our smoke detector, sprinkler system, and scorching the ceiling... not to mention the grease spattering the walls. Luckily, we have a balcony, where I intend to do all of the grilling from now on. Another thing is that from the reviews here it seemed like the grill is very easy to clean. Actually, you have to take apart the grill and I scrubbed at the grilling surface with a brush in the sink (the grill is quite large, so it doesn't fit so well in the sink). Of course the non-stick surface helps, but cleaning up is not trivial. Other than these things, I'm happy with the grill.
