I ordered this product to replace a handheld mushroom slicer where the blades never seemed to line up. This product does the job better than the handheld one ever did! It slices mushrooms with ease, and strawberries too! My only complaint would be that if you have a larger mushrom or berry, it just pushes it forward and "mushes" it rather than pushing it through the blades. This is easily fixed by cutting the mushroom or berry in half. Otherwise, a great product, and especially good for allowing kids to help in the kitchen without the dangers of a sharp knife!Customer Review: Perfect for strawberries!

I love mine--strawberries are done very quickly (although only 1-2 at a time). Also doesn't work if they are getting soft. Does NOT work for tomatoes. I use mine all the time--don't know why it would break unless you tried something really hard/firm(?)
This unit is definitely not as large as the original "Chopper", but still nice to keep some berries in the fridge.

My girlfriend and I thought we would have fresh sliced strawberries for dessert. She took out her new slicer to use for the first time thinking it would be an easy job for it. The very first berry bent one of the blades and the slicer is now unusable. The berries were not frozen. I have only used this to slice mushrooms so far and I love it. The slices are uniform in size which is great. It is also easy to clean. The container is nice and deep, but it could be little bigger. Between this and my Chop wizard life in the kitchen is a breeze. What time savers!Customer Review: works well, not what I was looking for

This item was much smaller than I had expected (no, I did not look at dimensions till AFTER it got here, I made a foolish assumption based on the photo). It works just fine, it's just not large enough for what I wanted to do with it. Arrived quickly, in new condition.
