I was looking to replace the plastic bowl I was using for table scraps and kept coming accross this container. After reading the reviews I decided to buy it and some replacement filters. I've had this for about 9 months and still haven't replaced the filter, but I can't smell anything at all, even when I'm lazy and don't empty it for a couple of weeks. I highly recommend this bin to anyone looking for a kitchen compost bin.
