I ordered this teapot because I wanted something a little bigger to serve 3 people a generous amount of tea. I also thought it would be fun to try some blooming teas.
The size of this pot is perfect. It is also very cute and seems to be well made. I like that I can put it right on the stove, although keeping the stove at medium means it takes a long time to boil. (Incidentally I did put it on high by mistake, and no damage was done as far as I can tell-- but it did smell like something was burning.) I purchased the matching warmer and the tea does stay nice and toasty.
A few negatives:
-Very fine tea leaves (rooibus, specifically) get stuck in the slits in the infuser and are difficult to remove. This is the same with all glass infusers I've ever used, so goes with the territory if you want glass. (I find using the sink sprayer really helps remove embedded leaves when cleaning this type of infuser.)
-Drips quite a bit when it pours--haven't found that perfect angle yet where it won't drip at all. This is why I give it 3 stars.
-Would be nice if it came with some kind of saucer to put the infuser after brewing for teas that get bitter. The infuser goes to almost the bottom of the water so it continues brewing even after the first few cups are poured.
-If you want to boil in it, it will slow you down (see above)
Overall I'm glad I bought it and it does what I want it to do, I just don't look very elegant using it with a towel underneath!
