I recently bought the Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker and love it. However, I was annoyed with having to deal with coffee filters! I make a pot of coffee ever day so that meant I threw away one paper filter, day-after-day. On top of that, the way the filters are made, with the seem on the bottom and side, you have to really finagle them to get the filter to sit just right in the machine.
Still, I was worried about buying a gold cone filter. I had read reviews of gold cone filters that didn't fit right in the coffee maker, or after buying a gold cone filter people ended up with a lot of coffee grounds and sludge sitting at the bottom of their brewed pot of coffee.
I bought this coffee filter anyway and it has been perfect. It plops right in and fits perfectly in the coffee brewing basket of my Zojirushi EC-BD15 Fresh Brew Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker. No coffee grounds get through. And it has a swivel handle on top so I can easily take the filter out and clean it each day.
I've also read reviews of tears in the mesh for other filters. The mesh on this one is a bit delicate, but I've been washing it by hand every day for a few months now and I am not concerned of creating a tear. However, I wouldn't recommend putting it in the dishwasher because that might be a bit too rough.
Overall, I would highly recommend this gold cone coffee filter. It works just as it should and, as far as I can tell, has no faults!
