I agree with other users that they make excellent poached eggs and are easy to use. But I find that clean-up is a nightmare. Yes, I grease them as instructed but they always have egg white bits that cling tenaciously to the silicon. If you turn them egg side out and put them in the dishwasher they tend to fill with water and the eggy outsides still do not get clean. I replaced my electric poacher with the pods. Now I am ready to replace the pods with some kind of pan with dishwasher-safe inserts. I love my poached eggs, but for me the pods were not the answer. I wonder what kind of super grease others are using. I hate cooking spray because the overspray gets all over the kitchen.Customer Review: Works great!

I never usually do this kind of thing but I just had to write a review for these Poach Pods. I could never seem to make a poached egg without messing it up somehow and was always looking for a better way. Well, I finally found it. These are easy to use and as long as you follow the instructions correctly (such as greasing up the pods and putting a lid on the pot you are cooking in) the eggs come out perfect.
The first time I used them I greased one with cooking spray and one with butter just to see if there was a difference. I didn't notice any. Watch carefully because they do cook pretty fast though.
I love these and look forward to using them a lot more.

To Mr. "silicone does not work for this product" i assume you have not tried this product, or read the instructions on it's use. It clearly states to use a lid on the pot of boiling water. Yes silicone is great at keeping heat at bay, but the lid acts as a steamer, cooking the egg all the way round (top included).
I bought this product as an easy way to make my fav dish (w/o having to spend allot of $) It works great, is very easy to use and clean. No problem getting the eggs out, and they only come out when you scoup them out. So you don't have to worrky about loosing your eggs on the way to the plate :D. Plus they look great! 5 stars in my book!!

There had to be a better way to poach eggs than the old method of using a poaching pan with non stick surface that comes off and the eggs stick anyway.
These poach pods are the better way! I got them for my wife but have used them myself and we both love them! Spray them with a little Pam, float them in the pan of water, break the eggs into the pods and cook covered for about 6 or 7 minutes. We take them out of the water with our fingers ... don't need a spoon ... and the eggs fall out onto the plate.
I saw some instructional videos about how to use the pods and the reality is easier than the video.
We love our pods!!

The poach pods are a great way to poach eggs perfectly without spending a lot of money on a specialized poaching pan. The price is good, and the pods are easy to clean. The eggs come out easily and maintain their shape on toast or muffins. You definitely want to use an oil/or spray on the inside (I enjoy a dab of olive oil) to aid in the eggs coming out. Follow the instructions: After boiling water in a pan, I put the eggs in pods in the simmering water for 6-7 minutes and they came out perfect.
I love poached eggs but can't seem to master making them in straight water in a pan. The poach pods are a very helpful tool to make great poached eggs.
