You will really love this knife for cutting breads. I don't have a lot of strength in my hands so I thought I'd try this knife. I have several other Gusto Grip products and they are such a pleasure to use. You have control with this knife and it does a wonderful job of cutting through those loaves of Whole Grain Breads! I am very pleased and I know you will be too--even if you don't have problems with your hand strength. It's just a very comfortable knife to use.

8" Rachael Ray Gusto-Grip Off-set Bread is serrated with a rounded too edge, cuts throught the hardest crusts. The offset handle ensures the cook's knuckles will not touch the cutting surface when the blade has cut all of the way through the food.The neon-orange handles on Gusto-Grip cutlery practically glow with the kinetic energy of television chef and talk show personality, Rachael Ray. Produced by the Australian firm Füritechnics, the high-end knives meet Ray's personal specifications: light in weight, very sharp, super-grippy handles. And, no surprise, orange is her favorite color. A snappy gift for any home chef, this 8-inch serrated bread knife not only looks appealing but slices even the crustiest bread with ease. By off-setting, or lowering, the blade from the handle, the design prevents knuckles from hitting the cutting board when the loaf (or hefty beefsteak tomato, as the case may be) is cut through.
Strong without being heavy, each Füri Rachael Ray Gusto-Grip knife is constructed from a single piece of superior German CrMoV stainless-steel alloy, with a forged bolster and robust tang. Molded around the tang is an inner core of durable polypropylene and an outer layer of synthetic rubber for all-day, non-slip comfort. The handle features the patented Füri reverse-wedge shape that prevents the hand from sliding toward the sharp blade even when wet.
