The larger knives of the Füri® Pro range are manufactured with the innovative FORGED EXOSKELETON? method (patents pending). Füritechnics developed this technology to overcome the hygiene and durability problems found in regular plastic/wood handles and fashionable metal-handled knives, and to ensure the Füri® knives used by working chefs are extremely strong and perfectly weighted. Three parts are fused into one seamless piece: instead of traditionally adding handle parts around a forged tang, the FX handle is the tang. When these unique onstruction features are combined with the patented Füri® handle shape, finest German CrMoV alloy, Coppertail¿ rebalancing system, unique blade shapes, and a perfect edge created by Tech Edge¿, the result is a new definition of knife performance for chefs and gourmet home cooks.Chefs who love Australian-designed Füri Pro knives will swoon over the new premium level Füri FX. Standing for Forged Exoskeleton, the FX knives are constructed out of a single piece of German stainless steel, resulting in superior strength and hygiene (no cracks or joints to collect bacteria). As with Füri Pro knives, the FX wedged handle is designed to prevent the hand from slipping toward the blade during use, and features a finger-notch and ergonomic curve that reduce strain and calluses, especially for arthritis sufferers.
Beautifully balanced and sensuous to hold, this handsome, hefty Coppertail knife features an extremely sharp blade that is easily resharpened. As the eight-inch blade wears and lightens over time, the copper "tail" on the handle can be filed to counterbalance the weight.
