Does what it says. 95 year old is able to read the paper with it. Only down side to it is the base needs to be heavier. If you pull the light down to get it closer it tends to tip over due to top heavy.Customer Review: Good product for the money

This is a very good light and magnifier. The insert magnifier is not so great. I ordered a 3x magnifier and when it came it was only a 2x. But all in all it is nice.
