I purchased this item as a gift and would have returned it had I not been leaving on a trip the day after Christmas. It probably works fine, but the black enamel top of the can was worn and a bit scratched because it had not been wrapped inside of the box. Some plastic bubble wrap would have saved it from abrasion due to shipping. My son said that he was OK with the appearance, so we didn't send it back. I suggest that the company have it wrapped for future shipments.
