Customer Review: Rattles
Summary: 3 Stars
The unit is noisy. Not just operation noise from the motor and fan but also internal rattles denoting poor construction and choice of materials. There are polystyrene baffles inside that could be responsible for some of this noise. I am considering opening it up to try to detect and rectify the rattles and vibration problems.
The remote, timer for on and off, economy function, and appearance are all good.

The Frigidaire Mini Window Air Conditioner has a 5,000 BTUH cooling capacity. It's a convenient source of cooling in small rooms where installation options are limited. It will cool a room up to 150 sq. ft. It ha an energy efficiency ratio: 9.7. It features n full function electronic controls, full function remote control, and LVC technology (Low Voltage Compensation) ensures proper operation of the unit when voltage fluctuates. It also features 3 Fan Speeds, 2-Way Air Direction Control, an easy mount window mounting kit, a Rigid Mesh , washable anti-microbial filter, and slide-out filter access. The FAX054P7A features clean air filtration that provides relief for increasing numbers of allergy and respiratory ailment sufferers. The FAX054P7A is 11 3/4- inches in height, 15 1/2-inches in width, and 12-inches in depth, weighs 40 pounds, and uses 115 Volts AC.
