My first press was a Bodum. I loved it because I love french press coffee. And then it broke. So I got another one. And it broke. Then I bought a Frieling.
Not only is it beautiful, but it has proved to be indestructible. I try to take care of my things, but I travel and am active and inevitably put my stuff through the ringer at some point. And the Frieling takes it, no problem. If you like french press coffee (or using it for tea), this will pay for itself by lasting much, much longer than glass does.

I have been using this press daily for about a month now without any issues. This is the first french press I have owned, and bought SS due to fear of glass breaking. The carafe is extremely well built and feels good to hold and pour. The press stem and filter are also solid, and can be unscrewed for separation and cleaning. This is not a flimsy plastic press - all parts are metal. Also the polish on exterior of carafe is like a mirror. Nice and shiny.
When filled to capacity, it makes 2 mugs worth of coffee.

I bought this press for camping since it obviously wont break when jammed into a box in the back of my car. Turns out to be a darn nice press. It makes two huge cups of coffee, keeps the coffee warm for a very long time, and looks great. Way better than the plastic REI french press it replaced. I am now using it on a daily basis instead of other glass French Press. It may cost twice as much as a similarly sized glass french press but it will most likely last for a very long time.Customer Review: Delicious and PLASTIC-FREE coffee

When my old drip coffee maker broker, I began looking for a plastic-free version. Ended up with an electric kettle which we love Cuisinart KUA-17 1-3/4-Quart Cordless Automatic Electric Kettle and this french press. The coffee is great. Much better than a small glass one I have. The insulation makes the brewing so much better. Highly recommend. Oh, and it is beautiful too.Customer Review: Absolutely great!

I have used the Bodum french press for quite some time now and I loved it! The only downside was that the glass beaker didn't last long enough. Now I got the Frieling stainless steel press and I love it even more! :). Its one solid piece molding makes it very sturdy and the fact that it is insulated makes it very handy. Clean up is very easy too and there are no plastic parts involved which I think is great. And it looks very elegant too. A must have in every kitchen!
