I got these for laughs, mainly, and that is what they are for. The shot glass is thick and melts quickly. I forgot one on the table after "putting it down" and it melted, obviously.
The disappointment stems from the shape of the glass you consistently get. We've managed one set of decent ones and a number of crooked and awkwardly shaped figures. Now, we do it by layers. I 1/3 of an inch at a time.
It's a fun party item and a good gift, but you can live without it easily and save the $7.

1st thing 1st: this product smells like heck (...) and it takes a few uses/washes to go away. However, its easy to use and the ice shooters come out easily. No funny taste or smell, unless you're using tainted water of course. It does melt quite fast but let's face it: you're not using this to slowly savour a rare single malt brought back from an epic journey. You poor the hooch, you grip the thing firmly (watch out for the slip) and you ideally down the liquid in 1, 2 shots max. Good work Fred!Customer Review: Fun but Messy - Use Outside

The "Cool Shooters" are a very fun and novel way to serve cold beverages. This mold makes four "shot glasses" at a time, so you might want to start making them up in advance if you are having many guests.
Since these are ICE, you likely will not want to use them inside the house or near wood furniture that can be stained as the "glass" melts. Also, we do not advise freezing juice as it can be sticky on your hands as it melts.
Not very practical, but fairly fun!

For a fraternity party i made about 300 of these. The only place they dont melt is in the freezer, even in bags deep inside large coolers of ice these little guys melted to the point of uselessness. If your only maing 4 they are very impressive and add quite a bit of novlety. On average the shot glasses should last around 20 minutes at room temperature, handling room temperature alcohol. It also helps if you put these in the freezer for at least double the suggested time ( 8 or so hours)Customer Review: Fun but Messy - Use Outside!
