This timer is a LOT smaller than I thought it would be. It is very attractive, but the bell is not very loud and I am sometimes worried that I won't hear it if I am not in the kitchen. If you need to set it for less than 30 minutes you have to be careful to turn it past the 30 mark and then to your desired setting or it won't work. Many times I have set it, heard it ticking, but the needle goes nowhere.
