My husband & I love to cook. Our favorite uses for this mortar & pestle include crushing peanuts to sprinkle on Thai curries, crushing dried Italian herbs for making spaghetti sauce & crushing seeds & such for use in Indian cooking. The large size is GREAT, the only thing I wish were different is that it were a little deeper. It's easy to get over zealous & spill, but that's just me because I'm clumsy sometimes ;)
