Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of FoodSaver Vac 300 Vacuum-Sealing Kit, WhiteCustomer Review: draw backs Summary: 4 Stars
in order to get the vacuum to work you need to press lightly the place where it say s to press. Sometimes it does not vacuum well and need to do again. it just takes a while to get use to but it does work and the vacuum is very strong so anything other than food,eg, paper will shribble up, you need to add a firm backing for it not to curl up.
Customer Review: Tilia will replace seals free Summary: 5 Stars
I actually use the Vac 500, but the solution to many of the problems I read about here is to replace the lower seal and/or the upper seal unit. Both of these are easy to replace and a simple call to Tilia with the problem will result in FREE REPLACEMENTS.I just did this for my 500 and I am back in sealing business.
Customer Review: Trick to getting a seal Summary: 5 Stars
Love the machine. There is a trick to getting it to seal, however. The slick side of the FoodSaver bag must be face down or it will not seal. Took me about of week to figure that one out!
My freezer is full of portion controlled meals that can be nuked or heated in boiling water.
Customer Review: a real money saver Summary: 5 Stars
The FoodSaver Vac 300 is a real money saver if you buy food in larger quantity and then seperate it for individual meal size portions. It allows you to keep foods from getting freezer burn. The bag material is a little pricey but is made up when you consider what you can do with it.
