Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of FoodSaver T010-00150-001 11-Inch-by-18-Foot Bag Material Roll, 3 PackCustomer Review: Foodsaver bag multi-pack-great buy! Summary: 5 Stars
This is my second order of the Foodsaver multi-roll (3) set of bags (11"x18')--as before, the item received is the "real" Foodsaver product (not a knockoff). I love the rolls of bags since it allows me to create custom sized bags with my Foodsaver. I use the bags for everything from freezing chicken breasts in meal-size portions from the large family packs to vacuum sealing coffee beans until I'm ready to use them to vacuum sealing my passport and other important documents so they won't be affected by exposure to air and moisture. Love them and love the service I've gotten from YardDeals--the item is always as described and I receive the items ordered quickly.
Customer Review: Bags great but expensive- look for a deal and try these saving tips Summary: 4 Stars
These bags work great but they are expensive and you lose more than an inch every time you seal them. I make really big bags and reuse them. To avoid washing reused bags I keep the food item in the original packaging or inexpensive plastic bags or other containers inside the Foodsaver bags. Soft foods can be frozen first in the "interior" bags and later sealed in the Foodsaver bags.
FYI... I love the idea of the canisters but every one of mine broke including the replacements they sent me. I use the cracked containers for flours, sugar, Splenda, etc. but the original lids are domed and do not stack so you need a lot of space to use them this way.
Customer Review: Great Product - Too many uses to list here Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using these bags for years. I cut 4-5 bags, about 12 inches long, at a time and seal the bottoms. When I wash them I put them over a wooden spoon in the drain. I label them above the cut-off line before sealing. I like buying chicken, chops, steaks, and burger in bulk at Sam's and divide them up into small, meal-sized portions. Blue berries freeze well as do strawberries. I cook up meat balls and freeze them. This machine and the bags are a wonderful addition to any kitchen and has an unlimited number of uses.. It will save you money and make your life a lot simpler.
Customer Review: great invention Summary: 5 Stars
Living in Florida, we have lots of fresh caught fish fillets to freeze. These bags are nice and heavy duty, which equals no freezer burn, no fishy smell, and criss cross texture to help keep them from sliding around. When we want fish we can thaw it under running water or in the sink without waterlogging the fillets. We also have a freezer full of vacuum sealed organic papaya chunks and bananas we grew out in our backyard. We pry off a piece of each every day for in our smoothie. The best part is my husband thinks it's fun to vacuum seal the bounty, so, I don't have to do it!
Customer Review: Food Saver Summary: 5 Stars
I just purchased a Food Saver (two, in fact - one for my sister, one for me) It took very little time to learn how to use it. I am thrilled at how well it seals in my food for the refrigerator as well as the freezer. And being able to re-use the bags is a tremendous plus. Even my nine-year-old granddaughter learned to use it with only minimal instruction. It is one of the few kitchen items that remain on my counter every day because I find so many uses for it. It is one product that is a pleasure to utilize.
