I've been using food saver rolls, but being a natural conservationist, I hated throwing away the plastic every time I opened one. I haven't used this extensively, but it works just fine, and I can wash the bag and reuse it very easily.
I bought it with a Fresh Saver Handheld Vacuum System, and it is small and I keep it plugged in near my work area, so it's very convenient to reseal a package.

I agree with the other 1 star reviews, I cannot get even one bag to vacuum seal. It will seal, but the vacuum part does not work with these small bags. The size did seem like it would have been perfect for single serve storge, but defeats the purpose if it does not vacuum seal properly. These bags are terrific for freezing small portions of food. I use them for single size portions of prepared meals. They are great when you cook a large meal and split it into smaller portions. I was so excited when I found out they made these bags in pint size that I ordered 3 boxes.
Out of 40 bags that I tried, only 3 worked. Can someone please tell me...WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!
I have a V2840. Any help would be appreciated.

The convenience of these sized bags is great. Unfortunately, I have had to throw at least a third of them away because they won't hold a vacuum. Were it not for that fact, I would have given these five stars.
