Customer Review: Pricy but well made Food Bags

I've been using the Food Saver system for several years. It does a fine job of extending the expected shelf-life of stored foods. The 1 quart bags are the size that are useful for a 2 party family. These bags are very well made, and seal to perfection. I may suggest one improvement...the seal line should be more adjustable so that the bag could be reused a couple of times. You should be able to cut off the bag at the seal point, reinsert a food, and reseal the bag. I can't do this because too much of the bag is wasted after cutting off the first seal.
I have dealt with customer service a few times and they have been very accommodating, and have fully satisfied my needs.

No matter what you're sealing, ground beef, strawberries, toiletries, or snack foods, you want to be sure the contents are securely sealed in the bag and that there is no interaction between the contents and the outside world. These strong bags when used with a Tilia vacuum sealer creates a leak proof environment.Designed to be used with all Tilia FoodSaver vacuum-packaging machines, the 48 VacLoc bags in this package each hold up to 1 quart of food. Each bag is 8 inches wide and 11-1/2 inches long. The bags' material is a three-layer construction--two plastic layers and an outer layer of nylon--that keeps moist foods moist, dry foods dry, and all foods from leaking odor. Bags can go directly into a microwave oven or boiling water to reheat food. They are resealable, reusable, and dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack
